Qualified Teachers of the Vision Impaired (QTVIs) provide specialised educational support to visually impaired students. They adapt curriculum, provide instruction in essential skills, and collaborate with professionals to ensure holistic support for student success in academic and independent living pursuits.

My primary role involves advocating for the rights and well-being of children and families. I focus on raising awareness about crucial issues and collaborating with stakeholders to bring about positive changes.

My professional journey and expertise predominantly revolve around Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I am a highly experienced SEN advocate, SEND tutor, and Level 3 certified interpreter for the Deaf. Through my diverse experiences, I have honed my observational skills, which enable me to provide comprehensive support to children, young individuals, and their caregivers. I adopt a holistic approach and strive to create a harmonious environment to assist SEND individuals and their families effectively.

The Qualified Teachers of the Vision Impaired at BCI SEND College plays a multifaceted role, combining strategic vision with hands-on management to ensure that students with special educational needs and disabilities have access to quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
